Under Title IX, federally funded schools cannot discriminate against pregnant or parenting students. Your school cannot remove you from a class or program, must provide reasonable academic accommodations, and must allow makeup work. Financial aid is also protected. Your Title IX coordinator can clarify the specifics for your enrollment.

Adoption. Many arrangements cover pregnancy-related medical costs, and you return to school after recovery. You choose the level of contact with your child. ALC can walk you through the adoption process and connect you with agencies.
Abortion. Kentucky has a near-total abortion ban with very limited exceptions. Confirming gestational age and the location of the pregnancy are essential first steps. ALC provides factual information about the legal landscape and health risks so you can make a fully informed decision.
A home test is one data point. ALC offers free pregnancy testing and free limited ultrasounds for clients who test positive. An ultrasound confirms intrauterine pregnancy, estimates gestational age, and checks for fetal cardiac activity. Those details matter before anything else.
